My mission is to help you experience life energetically through what you eat and how you move.
I run.
If anyone has met me, they know this. I love planning my runs, finding the right fuel, going on runs (the best part), the feeling after running, and digging into the data after. I started running late in high school just for fun and continued through college. Even though running was my main source of exercise, my weight and energy tended to stay the same no matter how much I did it. This was true even after I graduated and started my first career as a teacher.
My husband and I started running weekly at a local running store which hosts runs. They also host semi-annual 5 kilometer races (3.1 miles). After a few years of participating in these races I became very determined to get a sub-20 minute 5k under my belt. I came close with a time of 20:04 but I wasn’t able to shave off those last four seconds. That’s when I decided to get a health coach to improve my performance in running. I knew I could not get the time I wanted with what I had already been doing, I needed something more.
Mel Robbins has said that dreams change. In the process of chasing your dreams hard moments arise, and those moments are meant to give us a skill, person, experience, or a lesson we will need for later.
In chasing (ha, running pun) my goal of running a sub 20 minute 5k I ran into (last one, promise) another dream, health coaching, which is why I’m here today.
The COVID pandemic gave me the extra time I needed to think about what really gets me fired up. Keeping my body healthy and learning strategies to do that was what fascinated me. I used the extra time I was given to get my health and wellness certification in Adults and Seniors and L.E.A.N Expectations through the Dr. Sears Health and Wellness Institute.
I am always excited to learn more about health and wellness and look forward to supporting you and your goals! Who knows, maybe you can run that sub 20 minute 5k.
Your health is worth it.
